Many of the herbal blends that are used here at Zen Penguin Wellness are sourced directly from the Tibetan mountains and distributed by Botanical Biohacking. Wind Tea is one of their most frequently prescribed herbal formulas at this practice. And you’re about to find out why.
Wind Tea is a combination of two herbal formulas, Xiao Chai Hu Tang and San Ren Tang. This combination is used to clear out dampness, which is frequently the underlying cause of stubborn chronic diseases. This tea is designed to clear dampness, harmonize the body and support overall wellness.
Modern diets, dampness accumulation, excess biofilms and gut dysbiosis all contribute to chronic illnesses and create barriers to some treatment protocols. Wind Tea provides a gentle and effective solution to modern health challenges like chronic allergies, digestive issues and fatigue.
Here’s a breakdown of the two formulas and what they do individually:
Xiao Chai Hu Tang – This is one of Asia’s safest and most commonly used herbal formulas for both acute and chronic upper respiratory infections or reactivated viral syndromes. It is often used to resolve early stages of cold or the flu. Xiao Chai Hu Tang improves the immune system, regulates the body temperature, reduces stomach acid, improves peristalsis of the intestines, protects the stomach lining, protects the liver and has antibiotic, antiviral, antifungal and anti-allergic properties.
San Ren Tang – This formula is a gentle addition that gives Wind Tea greater ability to access the lymphatic system, where chronic pathogens frequently accumulate. San Ren Tang works well on damp heat conditions such as fatigue, limb heaviness and poor appetite. It specifically helps to drain dampness through urination and bowel movements, it opens the lungs, it increases lymphatic fluid flow and it reduces edema. San Ren Tang also has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
Combining these two formulas helps things flow up and out or down and out. Xiao Chai Hu Tang helps to expel infections upward, while San Ren Tang works in the opposite direction.
Wind Tea is a safe alternative for many patients who suffer from the aforementioned symptoms. However, because of one particular ingredient, it is not recommended for pregnant women or those with very weak constitutions. This is why it is necessary to get a diagnosis from a licensed East Asian Medicine practitioner. If you feel like Wind Tea might be helpful for you, consider scheduling an appointment. We would love to help you along your healing journey.
