First Moon Circles are a beautiful and empowering alternative to traditional period education featuring craft, conversations and a special parent-daughter celebration that educates children to thrive during puberty and the rite of passage of menarche (their first period).
These informative, fun and inclusive spaces share wisdom, support and foster community around girls and their parents, in order to disrupt the pattern of menstrual and body shame and to bring periods and puberty out into the open. Girls will learn what to expect, how to navigate period product choices and how to care for themselves physically, emotionally & spiritually.

For girls ages 9-12 who have not yet experienced or have recently experienced their first period(menarche)
3 hour event where we will ask mothers to attend the last hour

This workshop will be led by Kathleen Paige. Kathleen is a local Birth Doula who is passionate about empowering the next generation of girls. She believes that our journey through womanhood and motherhood is greatly impacted by the experiences we have during puberty and hopes that through First Moon Circles she can help to create a generation of women who are empowered, shameless and embrace their cyclical nature.
